Abstract focus

Previous research has demonstrated the benefits of antioxidant treatment in the prevention of hearing loss in animals. Our study tested the effects of an undenatured whey protein supplement rich in glutathione on human patients with hearing loss.

Context from Dr. Gutman’s comments

This team of ear-nose-and-throat researchers were aware that antioxidant treatment could be useful in the prevention of hearing loss in animals. They set out to see if this was also the case in humans.
